Pat Jehlen Statement

I am writing to request your endorsement again this year in my candidacy for re-election to the State Senate.

Many PDS members are among the district residents who have worked to close corporate tax loopholes, increase school funding, extend the Green Line, promote access to and clean up the Mystic River, and many other efforts. Without your work, we would not have made such significant progress – and without you, we won't continue that progress.

As chair of Elder Affairs, I'm working hard to make sure we all have a secure retirement, choices in long term care, and affordable property taxes.

Constituent service is an important part of my job, and I encourage you to call my office if you or someone you know has a problem we may be able to help with. I also try to keep our communities informed, by organizing forums on the budget, health care, and senior property tax relief, as well as events to test toys for lead and help people sign up for health insurance. I welcome your suggestions.
